MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Full membership in the Association is open to the music schools or departments of those colleges and universities in Texas holding membership in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, or the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities. Out-of-state membership shall be open to music units in out-of-state colleges and universities for the purpose of being involved in the activities of TAMS. Out-of-state members have all privileges of membership in TAMS except voting privileges.

- updates on legislative mandates
- information on technological developments in music
- provocative discussion of higher education issues
- statistical research from member institutions
- a code of ethics
- transfer guidelines
- fellowship with like-minded music administrators
- participation in the annual college night held during the TMEA Convention each February

Membership renewal is done online via a link sent to the sponsor of the institution by September 1 of each year.

To establish a new TAMS membership, email Dr. Jim Lee at jleeTAMS@gmail.com. Include your full name, institution name and email address.

Information will be sent to the email address provided to complete the TAMS membership application process.
